Our Vision

Advocating for your children

The use of doctoral level psychological consultants & expert witnesses is increasingly recognized as a critical component of a successful legal strategy in civil, criminal, and domestic family cases involving pediatric mental health issues. Orion Forensics’ capacity to translate complex psychological concepts into plain language provides a significant advantage in achieving a desired legal outcome...and minimizing the trauma of children caught in the middle of litigation.

Our Story

Legal matters in criminal, civil and educational settings involving children and teens are often contentious, heartbreaking, and emotional which often results in further trauma for the children we  are trying to protect.  Cultural and political issues often rear their ugly heads into these matters which can often result in further traumatization of children, which often results in judges, juries, and school administrators reaching inaccurate conclusions not based on science and factual evidence.

The testimony of a doctoral-level pediatric forensic psychology expert can help educate the judge and jury on the psychological elements of a case. Dr. Thompson and his growing staff of professionals at Orion are available to testify in legal proceedings in Utah and Nevada on a wide range of topics to include effects of trauma, malingering, psychological diagnoses, sexual assault, false sex abuse allegations, pediatric memory capacity & limitations, suggestiveness and taint in police investigative matters, education advocacy for gifted learners, and other topics.
